NumberCatalog v1 - Common Calculations

Basic Arithematic Cont'd

Our audience has commented the following criteria for deriving the summations:

The astute viewer will note that the following calculations of 3^5 are performed using two methods of computing 1,110. To find this in a computer or in the calculator, I’d recommend 3 × (122). To calculate (323)6 using 3 × (342) is, of course, more accurate but more difficult than this, as there is the complication that when we are adding in (6 × (562)) 7647. The key is the common power method in which you write (366) = (267) − 7 739 (or just 62, 571 or (351) = (35 − 34)32). This method allows us to use the first few powers to help compute all other powers, using 4 more than is actually needed.
